Kale Chips 5 Ways

I was at a Christmas dinner party the other night and they served kale chips.
I thought that everyone in the whole wide world knew about kale chips, so I was a bit surprised when people started saying things like “Uh, what is this green stuff?” “Is that seaweed?” “That’s good, what is this?
I mean, how long has the “kale chips craze” been going on? Three years, maybe even more.
Everyone has blogged, tweeted, facebooked, and even instagrammed about kale chips.
Is it possible that someone has not heard about ‘em yet?
Apparently...
Soooo for all those of you that haven’t tried kale chips yet (and btw who are ya?), or for those who have yet not tried making them at home, here is not 1, not 2, not 3, not 4 but 5 recipes to make kale chips at home.
Crispy, delicious and so very healthy kale chips.
If you haven’t done it yet I suggest you jump on the bandwagon and join the kale chips CRAZE asap.

  2. Mike, I am so all over those Parmesan Pepper Kale Chips! Fantastic combo idea. I haven't made them, but have tried them many a time. Will try this weekend... hopefully they won't burn like my shortbread did yesterday. Wondering if my oven is wonky, it was only half the baking time - we will see! #WolfpackEats

  5. "not 1, not 2, not 3, not 4 but 5 recipes" - have you thought about going into marketing ;)??
Seriously, all of these sound amazing and the salt & vinegar ones are SO going to happen. As well as the smoked paprika ones because that spice is rocking my life. And believe it or not but yes, my kale vendor - I'm calling him that in my head though he sells other kinds of produce, too - had never heard of kale chips, either, until I told him. Actually, I think hardly anybody aside from people reading HLB blogs from overseas would know. Like I told you before kale is mostly eaten in that famous German dish around here.

  7. Huge fan.... I think I made mine very plain for the blog, will have to check. After blogging about it, I made it a few more times improvising with some spices, but I really like your version with soy and sesame seeds.... must try it!

  8. I'm going to sound like a broken record but mate, you're pictures are amazing. You can actually see the spices on those kale chips! I'm a big fan, except the time I forgot about them in the oven and I made black glitter which didn't sparkle.

  9. Wait...what are kale chips? Is that spinach? Haha! Totally kidding. We grew kale this year (you inspired us!) and it was mighty tasty in a salad. I'll have to pick some up from the store to make these chips now, though. Nicely done...that's a recipe (or 5) worthy of Wolfpack greatness! #WolfpackEats

  11. Can't wait to try your flavor combos! I've tried cooking them at higher temps and they can really burn fast (especially with sesame oil on them!) Will definitely try at 275 instead.

  12. Love kale chips! And you nailed it with these 5 flavor combos!

  13. I'm one of those people who once tried kale prepared the traditional German way - and hated it. Your kale chips changed my mind, I love them, even the kids love them. Our favorite flavor is the soy sesame ones, I added some lime juice, it makes them more "fresh". Thanks! :-)
