Crock-Pot Chicken Barbecue

Man this was great!
The shredded chicken is fall-apart tender and the sweet tangy flavor of the sauce bursted in the mouth.
YUM!

Not to mention this is arguably one of the easiest BBQ chicken I’ve ever made.
You know those times when you don’t have time to stand over the stove and want to cook something delicious with the minimum of fuss? this Crock-Pot Chicken Barbecue is going to save your life.
Throw everything in the slow cooker without any special prep and let it work its magic.

Crock-Pot Chicken Barbecue

It’s sweet, salty, savory, and so satisfying. I invited friends over for crockpot bbq chicken on Sunday night and everyone loved it.
I’m pretty sure everyone went for seconds. Some even thirds.
In fact, I was hoping for leftovers but there were none. Zero. Null. Nada.
It’s that good!

It's such a quick and easy recipe.
And if you’re using (just like me) homemade ketchup and homemade barbecue sauce, this can be a pretty healthy and low calorie dish.
But I do understand that not everybody is into making your own condiment. If that's the case make sure to use some organic sauces, such as Wellbee’s.

Crock-Pot Chicken Barbecue

It’s great on rolls with slaw and corn on the cob on the side.
And sure, nothing beats BBQ chicken straight off the grill. But, the flavors of this Crock-Pot Chicken Barbecue can’t be beat and you don’t have to spend a second sweating over a hot grill.

This is a great way to make meat for company or your family when you don’t have time to stand over the stove. You can throw everything in your slow cooker before church and it’s ready when you come home. Such a treat!

Note. This makes for a lot of chicken, enough to feed a crowd. You can halve the recipe if you are feeding fewer people.

  2. This is a great recipe! I double the recipe and use Bragg for the soy sauce, Truvia Brown Sugar blend or coconut sugar, a healthier ketchup, and the Dinosaur BBQ Sauce as it is gluten free and very low in sugar and great ingredients. I have made in the slow cooker and the last time I made it, I successfully converted it to make in my Instant Pot. Husband serves his on buns and I put mine over shiritake noodles and we serve with a broccoli salad. Sometimes I mix in the broccoli salad with the chicken and shiritake and it makes it a pulled chicken BBQ bowl. Thanks for the healthier version of this as I have been missing it!
