The rational decision would be to consume dishes based on the health benefits one could gain from them.
Instead, most of the time we all go down the other and more satisfying road: we eat what we feel like and what will satisfy our taste buds, our cravings.
We live in times where getting food on our tables is no longer a problem and, on top of that, we have unlimited options to choose from.
Since we were little kids we had the privilege to being able to eat only what we liked; but for those times when our parents forced us to have veggies and fruits.
With this idea deeply rooted in us switching to eating food that are just good for us becomes a challenge.
The only feasible solution is to eat food that is good for us but that is also palatable. Something that will satisfy the cravings but at the same will do us good.
To go back from where we started, the question we should ask ourselves before eating is:
“What do I feel like eating that’s also good for me?”
If we can find something that eventually meets both criteria than we might have found the perfect solution. Fortunately there are a lot of recipes for food that it’s at the same time healthy and delicious.
So be curious and look around for recipes that meet both criteria you’ll be hitting two birds with one stone: not bad, huh?
